Fantasy of Trees

We went to the Fantasy of Trees again this year.  Our school creates and donates a tree, so because I help out, we get free tickets.  We always have a great time when we go.  It was so much fun this year because Ethan was so excited about everything.  He's really getting into Santa, Christmas trees, and the lights.  Every time I looked at him he was saying "wow" with a huge smile on his face!
We went to see Santa.  Ethan had no problem sitting on his lap.  When he was done, I asked what he said to Santa.  Ethan replied with "I say I want a bus and baby!"  So cute!
Giving Daddy a hug while waiting in line to see Santa. Creating a Christmas ornament!  Getting his face painted for the first time! Daddy and Ethan! Mommy and Ethan! It was a great way to start the Christmas season.  We put up our tree the very next day and that was an exciting process this year also!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.  We had a great time.  We went to my parent's house like we do every year.  We enjoyed a ton of yummy food and then watched football.  (Ethan played and enjoyed having everyone's attention)

Okay, here are some better pictures of our new boy!  Well, they are the same pictures but they aren't upside down! Thanks Windy!  The first picture he is waving at us.  He really was also.  You can see his little hand up by his face, and it was moving.  The next two are just front views of his face and stomach, and the last one is his "boy part" shot!

So I'm having a ........

BOY!!!!!!!!!!  We are so very very excited!!  Ha to all you girl wishers! LOL

Anyway, it was very obvious that this is a little boy.  No need to even guess!  (I will post pictures later, my dad is scanning them in for me)
He weighs about 11 oz. right now, which is a little bigger than average and was measuring 5 days ahead.  (they didn't change my due date though)  Everything looks great and he is a healthy little boy.  He is breech right now, which is why I feel tap dancing so low.  But, he has plenty of time to change position.  (although he's been in this position for quite a while now)
Anyway, I think we have a name, but we want to think on it a little while longer! We will let you know what it is soon!!

Attitude?

I told Ethan to stop doing something the other night and you know what he said?  He said "no talk to me, momma!"  Where the heck did that come from?  I am really bad, but I laughed so hard.  I mean his little face was all pouty and giving me this stare.  Oh, it was pretty funny.  But, I guess I'm going to have to watch that huh?

Dear Santa...

I want a yellow baby doll and an orange bus.  (Interesting combination, isn't it? ) Or as Ethan says a "yellow baby and rouge bus".

A pic of my sick kiddo...

So he's doing better.   Of course Dan stayed home with him and took him to the doctor.  Nothing was wrong with him.  Must have just been a virus b/c he is fine today.  But, since he kept saying that his throat hurt, we wanted to make sure it wasn't strep.

Anyway, this picture is of Ethan at 3:35 am on Sunday morning.  It was a long night.
But, he still tried to smile and say cheese.  You can see how red his little cheeks were.  He had a temp of 103 at this point.

Chuckie Cheese night

So tonight is our school night at Chuckie Cheese.  Well, I picked up Ethan from daycare and told him we were going after Daddy got off of work.  Ethan says "no see Mouse Cheese".  LOL He hates Chuckie and didn't want to go see him!  (plus we never go to chuckie cheese, only when it's our school night, so it's been quite a while since we've been)  But, don't worry I told him we would eat pizza and play games, and he wouldn't have to see the Mouse Cheese.  Now, I just need to keep a look out for Chuckie and make sure he doesn't make an appearance.

Babies

Ethan loves babies.  He loves to play with my old babies.  Well, there is a certain baby doll at Walmart and Target that Ethan loves.  It's the Little Mommy doll and it coos and stuff when you walk by it.  He always has to play with it and carry it around when we are in the store.  This has been going on for months.  (probably since May)  We keep putting it back, and telling him that he can have it some other time.

Well, since Halloween is over, I've been talking up Christmas.  We've been talking about Santa and that he brings you presents for Christmas.  Ethan will now tell me that Santa is going to bring him the "yellow baby".  (the baby is wearing a yellow outfit, that's why he calls it the yellow baby)  So I guess that Santa has to get it now for Christmas.
I think it's cute that he likes to play with baby dolls.  He doesn't do it often, probably once a week or so, but he is so very sweet when he's playing with them.  Here is a picture of Ethan reading to his babies.  (oh and this was the first day of potty training so that's why his outfit is all mismatched, we don't always dress him that way!)
Photobucket Photobucket I think that he's going to be a great big brother! He loves to talk about babies, and the baby in mommy's tummy. (he's even told me it was a girl baby! we'll see about that!)

Happy Halloween!!

Ethan's been saying this for weeks!  He really got into the holiday this year and loved it.  He did a great job saying "trick or treat" to everyone and holding up his pumpkin for more candy.  We finally decided on a dinosaur costume for Ethan.  We were thinking he would be a cow, but we couldn't find a cute cow costume.  Then we showed him the dinosaur and that was it.  He loved it.  Here are a few pictures from our Halloween night.

Carving pumpkins

So I know, I'm behind.  But, we've been busy and I've been tired.  We finally carved our three pumpkins the week of Halloween.  Ethan was more interested than last year.  He liked to watch Dan cut the pumpkin and kept telling us "no touch" because of the knife.

But, he's not my child.  He's for sure, Dan's kid.  He wouldn't help scoop out the pumpkin guts.  He took one look and said "ewww momma".  LOL  He wouldn't get near it and made sure that he kept his distance and reminded me now and then, how gross I was.  Dan never touches the inside of the pumpkin, that is strictly my job, so it was pretty funny to see Ethan's reaction.
Ethan also insisted that his pumpkin have a shark on it.  So that's what he got.  Dan did a pretty good job drawing a shark and then carving it out.  Everyone commented on his cool pumpkin on Halloween.
(oh and yes, he is in his underwear, we made three potty breaks while carving the pumpkins so we just left off his pants.  It's just easier.  )
