hmmmm..

What do you say to this?

One of my students was clip clopping his feet in the hall:  I turned to him and said "there is no need to make all that noise with your feet".
His reply:
"But, Mrs. Crossley these are my high heels!"
Hmmm... seriously.

Owen

Owen doesn't mind tummy time any longer.  He tolerates it for a while, then quickly rolls over onto his back.  But, he no longer screams when put on his belly.  :)  Look at that face.  How can you not love it?
Playing in his exersaucer is so much fun.  He is really starting to enjoy playing. We tried cereal.  It did NOT go well.  He liked eating it.  The first time we tried it on a Sunday afternoon.  He was fussy the rest of the day, but I really didn't think about it.  The next day we tried it again and he cried all. night. long.  It was bad.  Screaming.  I think it upset his tummy.  I read that breast fed babies can have a harder time breaking down the solids in the beginning b/c breast milk is so easy to digest.  We will not be trying again any time soon.  He does fine with nursing, maybe we'll try at 6 months old.  LOL We might try before but I'm scared and it's so easy doing what we are doing now.  But he sure was cute when he ate that rice cereal!

Our trip to the cabin.

My Grandma owns a cabin in Pigeon Forge and she let us borrow it for the weekend.  It was so much fun.  We invited Bianca and family up to stay with us and go to Wonderworks.  It was teacher appreciation at Wonderworks, so I got in free and could get three others in free also.  So we went and had a wonderful time.  I've been before on field trips but am always so busy counting heads that I never really could enjoy it before.  So this time I had a blast, and Ethan loved it and danced his way through the entire thing!

What's up with me..

So I know, I'm a blog slacker.  I'll find time to blog soon.  I hope.

But what's up with us?
Last weekend we went to the mountains and had fun with family, more on that later.
I went back to work on Monday.  I admit it was hard leaving Owen.  I'm dreading tomorrow b/c I know I'll miss him a ton.  He had a rough start to daycare but seems to have settled down.  He's not napping well there but he is taking his bottles.  ( I was worried about the bottles since at home he nurses)
Ethan is loving daycare of course!  Who wouldn't love Cowboy day and having a pool party?
Owen had his 4 month apt. on Friday.  Yes, he's 4 months old.  It's so hard to believe!
His stats:
15 pounds 10 ounces  ( he's about 3 pounds lighter than Ethan was at this point)
25.6 inches long
He screamed for his shots.  So not used to that as Ethan has never cried for any of his shots.  But a quick nursing session calmed him down.
So that's about it with us.  Being a working mommy with two kids is kicking my butt.  I don't have time for anything and am so tired since Owen is still waking to eat at least once a night.  (last night it was 4 times, but to be fair he was running a temp from the shots)  It's hectic around here but we'll get through it, even if it means folding a load of laundry at 6am so I can start a load before I leave.
