Where the cake didn't get smashed. Owen started off mildly interested in the cake. He looked at it. He kind of touched it.
He became interested in the stuff going on around him, and I believe that scared him a little.
He was quite upset that I wanted him to touch the cake and kept trying to feed some to him. Really, look at this pose. He wasn't happy at all with me.
I tried putting him in his highchair to see if that worked. Nope. He started really crying at that point.
The pictures still turned out adorable. Even if he didn't smash his cake. Turned out that he had a double ear infection that started draining later that night. So you can't blame the guy for not wanting to eat cake. He didn't feel well.
