Life has been stressful.....
But, not thinking about the stressful parts.. here are some highlights to our life...
We went to the beach, and my ENTIRE family came. It was wonderful to spend time with Iva.
Ethan started first grade. :) He is so big! How did that happen?
Owen has been sick A LOT. Seriously. My kids were barely sick last year. Guess they are making up for it this year. Poor baby.
Owen started going to Cokesbury 2 days a week with Grandma. :) He LOVES it! Absolutely loves everything about Cokesbury, especially music class!
My sister had to move in with my parents so they could care for her. I have some FABULOUS friends that came and helped us scrub her house down, so Eldon and Kayla could move in. Seriously... I couldn't ask for better people to be friends with.
We went to the fair with Mr. Steve and Mrs. Jeri! :) We had a blast!!
Ethan got a gold medal for reading all summer long! YEA Ethan! :) We are so proud of you! (some days this did involve a lot of tears and not wanting to read for his 15 minutes... but he did it!)
Ethan is just speeding right along in 1st grade! WOW! He can read 80 words in a minute!
I had some fun! A few friends did the Color Me Rad run with me, and it was a blast. I don't think that I stopped smiling the entire time! I am so doing this again next year!
We picked some pumpkins! :) This year we decided that low key was more our style.. than the huge Oaks Farm. Oaks used to be low key... So we headed out to the Fruit and Berry Patch. It was perfect! We even saw Aunt April and Uncle Evan when we were there!
We went to the circus!
So... along with the bad, we have had a lot of good. I try to focus on these fun times and it gets us through. Iva isn't doing so great, and that is a bit hard to deal with. Ethan has been playing soccer every Saturday and he's doing great. He's playing U8 now and is on a "real" team where they practice on Friday nights. So that's been an adjustment for us, getting somewhere by a certain time on a week night. But, he's been loving it and we really like his coach.
I'm still teaching.. teaching... teaching....teaching. Dan is still working at the credit union. :)
