The wedding....

I say "The wedding" because it has been in planing for what like 3 years? I wasn't even pregnant with Owen yet when Eldon and Kayla got engaged. Yeah, it's been the talk and in plan for a long time. It finally arrived and we had the BEST time. It was so much fun!
I was worried at first. Dan was in the wedding so had to leave early to get pictures made. So that left me getting both boys ready, and myself. Then we had to pick up Aunt April and get there in time. We did okay though, we were actually an hour early. So that gave the boys plenty of time to run around with family before they were expected to sit still and quiet. Which I was worried about as well......
But, look at these cuties in their little suits. Seriously have you seen such handsome guys ever?
This was right before the wedding. See the markers, coloring books, and stuff? Yeah... it almost wasn't enough. They ate an entire bag of gummy worms. Yep, a whole bag. They colored and were pretty quiet. A few times, Owen would start talking or whining about something, but I think I thought it was louder than it really was. Needless to say, I didn't see much of the wedding at all.
We had to take pictures after the wedding. I think we got 4 or 5 in before Owen decided that he'd had enough. So we headed to the rehearsal and it was HOT. The boys jackets came right off and they got to eat. The were still a handful though. Wanting to run all around the place, and it was kinda spread out. So it was me chasing Owen in high heels (I mean HIGH heels... my feet were killing me pretty quick) and that wasn't much fun.
But, then the happy couple arrived on the trolley (that got my boys attention!) and the wedding party, so the fun could begin!
Okay, this is Iva and Eldon. Of course Iva had her brain tumor here, but we didn't realize it. Who knew that in a week she'd be in the hospital having brain surgery.
My mom helping me with my crazies. Seriously, I needed help.
Then the boys discovered the dancing. Wow! I could finally relax because they were NOT budging off that dance floor. They were hilarious and well kinda stole the show a bit. But, so cute. The DJ was very impressed with Owen and said that he could feel the rhythm. I think he can also, not sure where that came from as Dan and I aren't big dancers.
Ethan found his "girls" and that was it. I am not sure how it even happened really. One minute I was holding his hand and the next he was sitting on this swing between these two girls. How did that happen? Do I need to watch this boy or what?
I think he was with this "Kayla" (her name is Kayla as well) for the rest of the night. Seriously, he loved her.
We had a wonderful time and are so glad that Kayla is now officially part of the family. She's been a part of it for a long time now, but having it official feels great. :)

Life sucks sometimes...

So our world has been rocked. We were at Disney World....

we got the news that Iva had been taken to the ER and she had a brain tumor. The next day she underwent a 6 hour surgery to remove the tumor. It is cancer. Life isn't fair. She's not even 33 yet. But, then cancer doesn't pay attention to age, or being fair.
She's been in the hospital and the CCU for a week. Moved to a regular room today! Thank goodness! :) She seems to be hanging in there and doing okay. She is talking and has all of her memory, which doctors weren't sure she would.
The cancer is a grade 4 tumor of the brain. It's the worst kind of tumor to have... there is no cure, but we can try the treatments. Hopefully they will get rid of this and we can beat it. This type of cancer is aggressive and advanced and grows quickly.
Prayers for Iva would be appreciated.
