We have babies.....

Yep, we have babies! :) A bird (have no idea what kind of bird) made a nest in our new flowers. We kept looking in it for days, and no eggs. We also never saw the momma bird again. Then one day we found an egg! WOW! The boys (and mommy) were so excited.
Then the next day, we looked again and saw another egg! Wow there were two eggs!
Every day Ethan kept saying that maybe there would be one more egg. Sure enough he was right. I kept telling him that maybe she was done with two, or three... because the nest is pretty small. But, she eventually laid 5 eggs! 5 EGGS!! (sadly one of the eggs just disappeared, we have no idea what happened to it) So now momma bird has 4 eggs and we try to be quiet when on the front porch (yeah right) so that we don't disturb the momma and babies.
Owen doesn't quite understand what is going on. He keeps thinking that the momma bird is eating the babies. Now, he wants to see the baby eggs every day to make sure that the momma didn't eat them. (he is obsessed with things eating the babies...)

He is 2!

Wow. He's two. It's so hard to believe that two years ago, I was looking at this......
and now I'm looking at this......
Time flies. It really does. It doesn't seem possible that this baby is 2 years old. But, he is. What can I say about Owen? He's my cuddle bug. He can be so sweet and gives the best hugs and kisses. But, watch out, he has his naughty side as well. He has a temper and you never know when it will come out. He is talking up a storm. Really there isn't anything that Owen can't say.
Just the other day, I was driving and I heard him say "Marla!" Umm.. excuse me? I went from Mommy to Marla? I seriously laughed so hard! He will say it to get a reaction out of me now. He has a tender side. When Ethan gets upset (usually because Owen did something to him) Owen will walk up to him and say "what's wrong E?" It's adorable to see him so caring.. then I have to say, "umm.. Owen you hit him.. that's what is wrong."
The past two years have been great. We have been very blessed to have Owen in our family.
